This one-day instructor-led course is designed to prepare nurses and physicians to care for patients with complex fetal heart monitor tracings. The course expands on the knowledge and principles presented in the AWHONN Intermediate EFM course. It is recommended that the learner has completed the AWHONN Intermediate EFM Course, a comparable fetal heart monitoring workshop, and/or is certified in fetal heart monitoring. At least one year of fetal monitoring experience is strongly encouraged. The course utilizes a case study approach to analyze complicated fetal tracings and characteristics.
