This course will add the obstetric advanced resuscitation content to your existing knowledge of the AHA ACLS course. This is NOT an ACLS certification course. ACLS certification is strongly encourage prior to attending this course.
This course is designed to complement the American Heart Association ACLS Provider Course for those participants currently holding a valid ACLS Provider card. The obstetrical component highlights the physiologic changes in the pregnant patient that might alter the patient’s response to resuscitation as well as those pregnancy complications that increase the risk of the patient for an obstetrical emergency occurrence. ECG rhythm strips and legal issues are also reviewed in this course.
